HOW DOES ALPHA ALIGN ITS INTEREST WITH MINE?
- Alpha’s compensation structure, being paid a percentage of the value of your account, drives our behavior. If the value of the account goes up, Alpha’s revenues go up. If the value of the account declines, Alpha’s revenues decline and we run the risk that we may lose your business.
- We are NOT paid commissions. Our revenues are purely based on advisory fees from clients to whom we render advice.
- We do not receive any incentives from investment product producers, like mutual funds or insurance companies, to sell their products. This allows us to maintain our independence.
- We purchase our own research. While we receive research from “Sell-side” brokerage firms, we have no agreements to conduct business with them in return for that research. As well, we are quite skeptical of “Sell-side” or “Street-research” because of those firms’ conflicts of interest.
- We have Personal Trading policies in place to ensure that clients receive preferential treatment if personal trades are made at the same time client trades are made. These transactions are closely monitored by our Compliance Officer and senior staff.
